Bio: P-Luc started riding when he was 4 years old, taking his pony to all the local shows. By the time he was 9, he riding and showing reiners. In 2000, P-Luc moved to North Carolina to train with Francois Gauthier. In 2004 he moved to Menifee, CA to train with Craig, moving to Oklahoma when Craig moved the Schmersal Reining Horse operation to Hickory Creek Ranch.
In 2008, P-Luc moved back to Canada to be close to his family and to train reiners. During the next two years, he was a finalist at every major event in Canada, winning multiple Open classes). Although it was fun being with his family, in 2010 he decided to move back to Oklahoma, and train again with Craig because he is "too competitive to stay in Canada".
A few show career highlights
- P-Luc has been a multiple Open finalist at all the major reining events in the US & Canada - including the NRHA Futurity, NRBC, and the NRHA Derby.
- 2012 SWRHA Open L3 Futurity made the finals on Electric Sparks, placing in the Top 15.
- 2012 RMSS Futurity: Pierre-Luc rode Cash InMoonShine into the Open and Int. Open Futurity Finals.
- 2012 NRHA Derby: Pierre-Luc rode Lost In Tinseltwon into the Int. Open Derby Finals.
- 2012 Cactus Classic Int. Open Derby Reserve Champion riding Peppy Superboom.
